Research Project
As a bioinformatics intern, my project in Dr. Zacharewski's laboratory
involves the development of Java Interfaces interacting with DBZach database.
The primary interface that I am working on is the Real-Time PCR interface and
the goal is to finish the last function of it and to put it up and running.
The function I developed for Real-Time PCR interface allows the lab members to
query on the previous Real-Time PCR experiments in the database.
As side projects, I debug other interfaces such as MicroArray and Sample
Annotation interfaces. Currently I have fixed a couple of problems for both
interfaces as the lab members encounter them. I also handle Windows network
administrative tasks under control of a grad student Lyle Burgoon.
I am now re-factoring the MicroArray interface source code to get more
reusability and manageability.
