October 11-12, 2002
Robert Allerton Park
Monticello, IL

The annual Midwest Drosophila Conference is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 11-12.  Once again, we are pleased to hold the meeting at the Robert Allerton Park and Conference Center in Monticello, Illinois.  The format of the meeting will remain the same as previous meetings, with 15-20 minute talks on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and a poster session/mixer on Friday evening.  This is an outstanding opportunity for younger colleagues to formally present their work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  Please note that we have approached the capacity of Allerton Park in recent years, so early registration is strongly recommended.

With the generous support of our sponsors, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Martin Kreitman will deliver the Keynote Address on Friday evening, "Genomic Approaches to Detecting Natural Selection".
