Immunobiochemistry
The laboratory of Dr. Pam Fraker has a postdoctoral position in immunology available immediately. The lab is beginning studies designed to better understand the adverse impact obesity has on immune defense. Studies will include the morbidly obese undergoing gastric bypass surgery and the obese mouse. Investigation will include a team of MSU faculty and students involved in the nutritional immunology program. Better understanding of the impact of the metabolic and neuroendocrine changes that accompany obesity on host defense systems are also sought. This translational research project requires an industrious candidate willing to combine immunology with metabolism, molecular biology, and neurochemistry.
A generous salary with benefits will be provided. If interested, send a short description of your career goals, CV, and three references to fraker@msu.edu
