Research Presentation Opportunities Available in BMB

Biochemistry Departmental Poster Session

The BMB Undergraduate Poster Session is held in the Spring of each year. The department organizes the event to give undergraduates the opportunity to present their research in a comfortable atmosphere. This is a great warm-up session for student's planning to present a poster at the University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum, if a student so chooses, however, UURAF participation is not required.

Students are notified of the BMB Undergraduate Poster Session by e-mail from the Undergraduate Program office. Usually students have been working on a research project with a faculty member and are encouraged to present the information as they would at a professional conference. Posters may be printed by our department's Macromolecular Computer Facility (Advance scheduling is greatly appreciated.) Financial support for printing costs is often available from the faculty researcher.

University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF)

This forum provides an opportunity for undergraduate researchers to present their work in the form of a poster or oral presentation, or to showcase their creations. Undergraduates from all MSU colleges who are engaged in original work are encouraged to participate. Presentation at the MSU Forum does not preclude students from presenting at other appropriate venues. Cash prizes are awarded to those with first place and honorable mention awards in each poster and presentations subject category.

2007-2008 BMB UURAF award recipients were:
